Retransfer section jam

If a card jams in the retransfer section, “Jam (Transfer)” is displayed on the

LCD panel. To remove the jammed card:

1 Slide the door latch to the right and open the printer door.

2 Press the retransfer film cartridge eject button and remove the

retransfer film cartridge.

3 Open the card hopper and

remove the jog lever by

pushing the retaining tab

toward the front of the printer

and lifting the jog lever.

4 Use the jog lever to turn the

jog dial counterclockwise until

the card can be removed.

5 Remove the card.

6 Replace the retransfer film

cartridge and initialize the

retransfer film as described in

“Initialize the retransfer film”

on page 17

Tips – Retransfer jam

• Some internal parts may

be hot. Be careful when

removing a jammed card.
